On this in-person walking tour, explore the secrets of Lower Manhattan: a treasure trove of mysteries, obscurities, and hidden history waiting to be unearthed. Discover the lesser-known backstory, hidden gems, and untold secrets of this neighborhood, including its revolutionary history, its time under Dutch rule, and its incredible works of art. Without ever leaving Manhattan, this tour will transport you to Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Your guide will be journalist and author Rossilynne Skena Culgan, who works as Things to Do Editor at Time Out New York and recently published the book “Secret New York City: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure.”
Stops include the Irish Hunger Memorial, the Portal Down to Old New York, and Bowling Green. Wear comfortable shoes and get ready for an epic historical adventure.
