The Length of Lafayette

With Matt Postal

[In-person] Named for the French patriot in 1825, this mile-long north-south street has many fascinating buildings. Join architectural historian Matt Postal for a walk that includes a varied assortment of mostly 19th century structures built for public and private use, including a unique row of Greek Revival terrace houses, former libraries and publishing headquarters, a rare surviving cast-iron building by James Bogardus, and an unusual new plaza named for Chester Rapkin and Margot Gayle, saviors of SoHo.
