[Virtual tour] A leafy residential neighborhood in south-central Brooklyn, Midwood has many buildings of interest. Join architectural historian Matt Postal for an armchair tour that traces the area’s growth and evolution, from Colonial times to start of the 20th century, when Midwood was home to Vitagraph Studios. Architectural highlights will include Dutch farmhouses, stylish Art Deco apartment buildings and lobbies, and a 1950s synagogue with 18 stained glass windows by abstract expressionist painter Adolph Gottlieb.
