In Partnership with Design Trust for Public Space and Open House New York
You’re invited to a Public Space Potluck at Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, Queens, hosted by the Municipal Art Society, Design Trust for Public Space, and Open House New York.
Once an abandoned riverside landfill and illegal dumpsite until the mid-80s, Socrates Sculpture Park has been transformed into a renowned site for public art and designated New York City public park.
Join us to tour the park’s art-filled five acres, engage in conversations about public space, and learn more about the three partner organizations dedicated to celebrating the built environment. Speakers will include Katie Dixon, Executive Director of Socrates Sculpture Park, and Amy Hau, Director of The Noguchi Museum.
Please bring a dish to share if you can, and a blanket to sit on at this outdoor event! We will provide some snacks, drinks, cups, plates, napkins, etc.
About Public Space Potlucks
