Janes Walk

SOLD OUT

Led By Cody Herrmann AND Rebecca Pryor

“The Path of Most Resistance: Public Space around Flushing Creek” is a 2.5 mile guided tour led by artist Cody Herrmann alongside Guardians of Flushing Bay, and members of Flushing Anti Displacement Alliance and the Flushing for Equitable Development and Urban Planning (FED UP) Coalition. The walk will travel from downtown Flushing to Citi Field, and last up to 4 hours, covering topics related to local history, ecology, and current plans for development in downtown Flushing and Willets Point.

While examining the history of public space in the Flushing and Willets Point area, participants will learn about the impacts proposed developments around the area may have on local parkland, public space, and waterfront access. Registered attendees will receive gifts.

This walk is supported by Works on Water and Queens Council on the Arts.
