Join branch staff from Columbus for an in-person walking tour! Learn more about the history and landmarks of this neighborhood and connect with community.
We’ll take a walk through the Hell’s Kitchen area, tracing the history of local buildings and landmarks. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes and will begin at our neighborhood library.
This is an opportunity to engage and explore our local area and all of its enchanting history. In this walking tour, we’ll start with a quick stroll of the Columbus Library, a historic Carnegie building. We’ll then explore standing history at the Landmark Tavern and a peak of the American marvel at the Intrepid Museum. Followed by community gathering spots DeWitt Clinton Park and the 52nd Street Project.
Accessibility
The walk will take less than a mile. We will be on the sidewalk and cement.
