Urbanist Pub Tour
Join architectural historian Francis Morrone on a twilight walking tour of mysterious Midtown, the part of the city that everyone thinks he or she knows, but doesn’t. The walk won’t be built around the usual landmarks but rather an assortment of unusual sights and stories, with three historic bars helping to form the thread. We will begin with a drink at the Algonquin Hotel and make our way north.
Urbanists members may RSVP to ameisels@mas.org for meeting location. Members of the Leadership Council (Urbanists at $250 membership level) will be permitted to bring one guest.

During the recent MAS Urbanist tour of Time Out New York‘s offices (click on image under “Recent Urbanist Events” at right to watch a slideshow of the tour), we were invited to design the cover for an upcoming issue of the magazine. Check out the ideas we came up with above. [Click on the images to view larger versions.]
If you’re a young person living or working in New York, you play a vital role in this city. Over one third of New York is under the age of forty and the collective influence of young New Yorkers on this city’s future will be substantial.
Whether you’re a new or a native New Yorker, your voice and passion for urban living is something we at MAS recognize and share. For over ten years, MAS has offered hundreds of individuals, early in their careers, broad exposure to the critical issues of urban planning, design and public space through our Urbanist program. We invite you to join us.
The Urbanist program is a networking opportunity for young professionals. Members are between the ages of 21 and 39.
