How do ordinary people effect change in New York? Recipients of the annual Jane Jacobs medal – all of whom are credited with building a better community – will discuss activism that works. Other sessions focus on how the arts and social media are building communities – real and virtual. Then, take a close look at a new tool that demystifies community planning and allows anyone to reimagine their street, their neighborhood, their city.
