Preserving Small Retail
As the City continues to enjoy a construction boom, the unique character of its richly diverse local retail is threatened everywhere. Chain retail stores, banks and drug stores are sweeping the city. MAS feels that city government must take some strong action to prevent the City from becoming a giant suburban mall. On occasion we have held programs and CLE courses investigating different courses of action other cities have taken and what our City could do.
