Public Workshops for Imagine Coney next Monday, Wednesday!

Next week, two public workshops are being held where you can Imagine Coney! The first is Monday, November 10, at the Coney Island Gospel Assembly, 2828 Neptune Avenue, Brooklyn, co-hosted by the Astella Development Corporation. The second public meeting is on Wednesday, November 12, at the Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch, 10 Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn. For more information, visit www.mas.org/imagineconey.

Ideas, memories and designs are pouring in from all over the country for ImagineConey, the initiative to solicit New Yorkers and Coney Island fans everywhere for their ideas for area’s future.  (Check out the press round up here). MAS is asking for ideas for events and activities, for new amusement rides, for the design of new structures and even for interim activities that could happen in the summer of 2009.

You can submit your ideas online at www.imagineconey.com, where they will be displayed, as well as at an exhibit at MAS that will open in January 2009.  Ideas submitted before November 12 will be presented to the “dream team” of architects, entertainment producers, economists, and engineers for potential inclusion in their preliminary presentation on November 17.
