The MAS Annual Awards honors individuals and groups that help define the character of New York City. The The W. Allison and Elizabeth Stubbs Davis Award to a deserving employee of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.
The 2010 MAS Annual Meeting was held on Wednesday, June 23, at the Tobacco Warehouse in DUMBO. Governors Island Preservation and Education Corporation received the Special Recognition Award. Gregory Jackson was given the W. Allison and Elizabeth Stubbs David Awards, for his work as the director of the Brownsville Recreation Center in Brooklyn. Other honorees included Brooklyn Bridge Park, Dance Theatre Etcetera’s Angels and Accordions, Museum of Chinese in America, and Learning Leaders.
